Proud to be shortlisted for Contributions to Coaching Supervision Award!

I was proud to be nominated and shortlisted for this year's Contributions to Coaching Spervision Award:

'For all of Peter’s work, both as co-founder and director of the Association of Coaching Supervisors - a growing not-for-profit organisation set up to promote coaching supervision to coaches and others seeking supervision worldwide, and to help them find qualified supervisors easily - and for his current work in stretching thinking in this field.'

The association whose mission is to 'Promote, Engage, and Develop', is about creating a greater share of voice for coaching supervision both in the coaching community and more widely. AOCS helps its 140+ members to network, share their experience, deepen their understanding and use of supervision, and is committed to enhancing standards.

Peter’s current projects include:

  • Working collaboratively with AC to create some new Ethical Guidelines, rather than codes, for supervisors. These guidelines are based on core principles, values and current research, which will help to develop the supervisor’s ethical maturity when supporting their clients with ethical dilemmas. To stimulate debate and diverse input around this topic, Peter co-hosted two sessions for the Global Supervisors Network of 60 members with Marie Faire and Anna Calleja of AC, based on a recent survey and case studies.
  • Co-authoring a book on contemporary coaching supervision, curated from leading-edge research, emergent thinking and practice in this field, to evolve the scope, depth and standards of supervision in practice. Book to be published by Routledge this summer as part of EMCC’s Book Series.
  • Being a volunteer coach supervisor for internal coaches, supporting the executive leadership programme within The British Heart Foundation
